RARE COLLABORATOR'S COPY OF FINI'S TEMPTATION OF SAINT ANTHONY, lettered 'S' from 21 copies for collaborators, from 96 copies, containing 10 lithographs signed by Leonor Fini. In 1945, film producer Daniel Loeb invited 12 artists to produce a painting of the temptation of St. Anthony, one of which would be selected to appear in his film The Private Affair of Bel Ami. The artists included Max Ernst, Leonora Carrington, Ivan Albright, Eugene Berman, Dorothea Tanning, Paul Delvaux, Salvador Dali, and Leonor Fini. Fini was the only artist not to submit a work to the competition, which was won by Max Ernst, but 20 years later she would produce the illustrations for this work.
