An interesting early 20th century black japanned cast metal patent timepiece the dial signed Sir W. H. Bailey Patent, W H Bailey & Co Ltd, Albion Works, Salford, Manchester the arched case with glazed door on a moulded panel base, raised on a separate moulded bow-ended rectangular plinth with fixing bolts and later applied brass presentation plate marked Factory Clock C. 1905, Sir William Henry Bailey was knighted on board ship on Manchester Ship Canal for promotional work on canals, the 7' ceramic Arabic dial set within a brass bezel with blackened steel hands, the single train chain driven movement with brass pendulum and winder, 150cm high, 45cm wide, 38cm deep overall approximately For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
