RUBY AND DIAMOND RING, 19TH CENTURY AND LATER Cushion-shaped rubies Old cushion-shaped diamonds, approx. 1.00ct total Ring size approx. W Weight approx. 7.0g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Overall in good condition with negligible wear to the unhallmarked metal (testing as 17ct gold). Ring hoop possibly later. RUBIES Rubies measuring approx. 3.9 x 2.7mm. Of well matched, richly saturated, strong reddish pink hues, with excellent transparencies. Upon close inspection, some abrasion to facet edges visible. Under 10x magnification, some typical inclusions visible. DIAMONDS Estimated as approx. VS2-SI3 clarity (mostly SI1-2), colour not possible due to yellow metal mount. Assessed in mount.
