On her 21st birthday, 21 April 1947, Princess Elizabeth was in South Africa with her parents and Princess Margaret on her first Royal tour. In a speech broadcast on the radio from Cape Town, the Princess dedicated her life to the service of the Commonwealth. Claire Foy received her second Primetime Emmy Award® (Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series) for her performance in this episode.
