Gelatin silver print portrait, 'Bonne Annee / Joyeux Noel 88 / From Angus,' 250 x 202 mm, signed ('Angus McBean / London 88') and with the artist's stamp on the verso, WITH: ALS to 'My Dear Annie' thanking her for the copies of Details that have just arrived, 1 p, 4to, Debenham, Suffolk, December 14, 1988. Together in original transmittal envelope. Welsh photographer Angus McBean, most famous for his lush portraits of celebrities over the decades, sends a thank you note and one of his unique holiday cards, which is really a signed and stamped McBean photographic print, to Annie Flanders on the day before he is to go into hospital for a hip replacement.
