Cai Zhaotang (19th century) Calligraphy in Running Style Ink on paper, album leaf Inscribed and signed Cai Zhaotang, with one seal of the artist, and a dedication Dated bingzi year 1876 54.5cm wide Footnotes: 蔡召棠 行書 水墨紙本 冊頁 一八七六年作 款識：唐初學者，首重歐虞。至於中葉，盛稱顏柳，皆以勁健為宗，而柳更清瘦。元秘塔是極矜練之作，此本為有明內庫宋本，除斷蝕外，所有鋒鍔纖毫不失，令石在關中已頹甚矣。碑文裴休所作，休深於禪理，而此文但侈陳大達思遇文亦方幅鮮義味，唐文粹收之殊不可曉，元秘塔書風神遒厚骨，韻清華不比符越州等碑，猶有鼓努之跡。也曾見明內庫宋拓本，和明圓朗，與歐虞實是異曲同工。此冊明初拓，腴不剩肉，瘦不剩骨，較近刻癡悍者，絕殊良足珍也。元秘塔跋語二則。蓮舟仁兄大人屬。丙子（1876）夏仲蔡召棠。 鈐印：聽香六十以後所書 For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
