A 'Box' birch plywood occasional table Designed by Sir Terence Conran, made by Benchmark Furniture 100cm wide x 100cm deep x 25cm high, (39in wide x 39in deep x 9 1/2in high) Footnotes: Sir Terence Conran would hold proposal meetings with The Conran Shop design team. He famously presented the 'Box' table as 'The best thing I've ever designed'. He loved the humble, plain design based on a cardboard box. Unfortunately, the other Directors did not agree, and so this prototype was the only one ever made.
