A Rare Cased 38-Bore Percussion Adams Patent 1851 Model 'Dragoon' Self-Cocking Five-Shot Revolver By Deane, Adams & Deane (Makers To H.R. Prince Albert), 30 King William St.t, London Bridge, No. 389, Circa 1855 With octagonal sighted barrel (fore-sight missing), top-strap signed in full in capitals and extending along the top flat, serial numbered cylinder, border engraved frame (hammer slightly chipped), trigger-guard and ovoidal butt cap all decorated with foliate scrollwork, the last with hinged circular butt-trap cover engraved with a scallop shell, sprung safety-stop and arbor pin catch, and chequered figured rounded butt (old scattered pitting): in contemporary lined and fitted oak case (keyhole escutcheon missing) with some accessories including Bartram & Co. powder-flask, the interior of the lid with maker's trade label, the exterior with circular vacant brass escutcheon, London proof marks 19 cm. barrel For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing

Buyers' Premium and Charges

28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
