A 54-Bore Flintlock Box-Lock Over-And-Under Tap-Action Pistol, And a 50-Bore Flintlock Box-Lock Pocket Pistol The First By Dalton & Co., London, Early 19th Century, The Second Signed Spencer, London, Circa 1820 The first with turn-off barrels numbered '6' and '7', border engraved breeches and action, the former numbered to correspond, the latter signed within an oval against banners over both sides, engraved safety-catch also locking the steel (top jaw and screw replaced), trigger-guard engraved with a floret, and figured flat-sided butt (minor old split, some old scattered pitting), Tower private proof marks and crowned 'D' mark; the second with turn-off barrel, action signed within an oval against a martial trophy over each side, engraved safety-catch (top jaw and screw replaced), trigger-guard engraved with a starburst, and figured flat-sided butt, Birmingham proof marks; together with a percussion box-lock pistol in poor condition, Birmingham proof marks, and a Liège percussion d.b. pistol also in poor condition, Liège proof (4) The first 7.8 cm. barrels Footnotes: Dalton & Co., London appear to be unrecorded For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing

Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
