A Cased Pair Of 50-Bore Flintlock Pistols Signed T. Tarratt, London, Circa 1830-40 With twist octagonal sighted barrels each engraved 'LONDON' along the top flat, engraved breeches each with two silver lines and stamped '1225' and '182F' along one bottom flat, foliate engraved tangs each with back-sight, border engraved flat locks each signed in capitals and loosely decorated with foliage, engraved locks (steel refaced) and rollers, figured half-stocks (some old bruising) each with chequered rounded butt, white-metal mounts comprising ovoidal butt-caps, foliate engraved trigger-guards each with pineapple-shaped finial, shield-shaped escutcheons engraved with owner's crest, barrel-bolt escutcheons and fore-end caps, and brass-tipped ramrods (some wear and pitting overall): in later lined and fitted mahogany case (some compartments loose) with brass-mounted three-way powder-flask and steel bullet mould, the exterior of the lid with circular brass escutcheon engraved 'S.J', Birmingham proof marks 23.2 cm. barrels Footnotes: A J. Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
