A METROPOLITAN POLICE MODEL REVOLVER, c. 1864-66. Serial number 1737, .36 caliber unmarked round barrel; fluted five-shot cylinder, case-colored frame, brass trigger guard and grip frame, walnut grips, all visible serial numbers match including the wedge. Barrel lg. 4 1/2, overall lg. 9 1/2 in. Condition: Barrel and cylinder retain approx. 70% bluing with areas of plum toning, frame has strong case coloring, trigger guard and grip frame silvering is completely worn away, grip has dings and dents, action functions properly.
