Ponting') lower left on image, 3 specks and small smudge adhered to surface, 3 light abrasions in sky area, mounted, framed and glazed, with original Exhibition label on verso of frame, image 340 x 460mm., [1910, printed 1920s] Footnotes: Fine image, signed by the photographer, depicting the crew of Terra Nova gathered on deck as the ship approaches the pack ice during Scott's British Antarctic Expedition. Provenance: 'New Zealand & South Seas International Exhibition - 1925-1926, Dunedin', exhibition label mounted on verso of frame, giving title as 'The Terra Nova entering the Pack Ice... Catalogue No. M240', with the name of the purchaser 'Miss Hunter Brown, Long Look Out, Nelson [New Zealand]'. She was one of the nine children of the NZ politician Charles Hunter Brown (1825–1898) who had moved to Nelson in 1866. Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
