A SHORT LEVER ENFIELD MARTINI-HENRY INFANTRY RIFLE, MK III, 1882. 33 in., .45 caliber barrel with rear sight adjustable to 400 yards, the left side with numerous inspector marks; receiver marked on the right side with a crown over 'VR/ENFIELD/1882' over a crowned broad arrow and 'III' and also marked with 'FN 102'; walnut stock marked on the right side of the butt with an Enfield cartouche over 'III/I'; lacks cleaning rod. Overall lg. 49 1/2 in. Condition: Barrel toned mostly to brown but with trace of bluing at the edge of the stock; receiver toned to mottled brown; butt stock is loose and has a crack near the frame, bayonet lug has been removed, action functions properly.
